Scar Revision

Scars are formed when the skin is cut, abraded (severely rubbed by friction), burned or damaged in some way.  The collagen rebuilding of the damaged skin results in scarring. Depending on the type of person or extent of injury, some scarring may take the form of a keloid, hypertrophic or contracture. The size, depth, blood supply to the damaged skin, thickness and color of the scars all will affect who can undergo treatment.

Usually a combination of Laser Skin Resurfacing combined with Fractional Skin Resurfacing will be prescribed. As your skin heals in the days following your treatment, you may notice a general tightening effect. However, the true benefit of ProFractional is the collagen remodeling that occurs during the 4-6 months following your treatment.
